A mold can have a long services life of 150000 shots, while a short service life of 50000shots, that depends on the mold structure and materials. Zinc die cast parts can be cast by hot or cold chamber die casting machines. Usually we use hot chamber die casting machine to cast small zinc die cast parts, and cold chamber die casting machines for large zinc casting parts.

Service life of our die casting molds can be high to 150000 shots. However it is not reasonable and economical for all die casting molds to have such a long service life. You may know what technical factors determine the mold service life for example the mold structure, mold material, cooling system, proper operation and etc.
Furthermore, you have to know how to choose service life for die casting mold. Once you ask for quotation for a die casting project, you must estimate the potential purchasing quantity, if there will be a substantial quantity, then you may need a die casting mold with longer service life, however if it is only a single order below 20000 pcs, a common die casting mold is enough for the project.

Mold flow analysis of die casting mold
Die casting mold making experience is important for mold making, however we don't blind worship experience. All our die casting mold are carried out by team work with further study and discussion as to die casting, precision machining, and other surface finishing processes. The final die casting mold design is to be checked and approved by Moldflow analysis software. Only if we make sure the design is proper, we will proceed the mold making.
